Plasterboard sheets are now going up in large volume, around 200 sheets installed thus far and another 120 or so still to go. Most of the lower ground floor and middle floor walls are complete and around half of the ceilings with double layer 15mm boards have been fitted. Internal wall plaster boarding now complete for the lower bedrooms and bathrooms. Ceilings to be finished in some rooms still during December.
Just this week we have started on the first floor plasterboard and completed about a quarter of the sheets in 3 days so fair to say going pretty well, another week or so and we should be complete, so then on to the plaster skim or jointing and filling of all the boards... First wall in one of the bedrooms has been plaster skimmed, Cameron and I have been shown what needs to be done by a local acquaintance and now just about to start on the rest of the plaster skimming.
Kitchen plaster boarding near completion, one rear wall all finished and painted, just needs other walls to be sanded smooth or skim plastered and painted.
Lower Oak & steel spine staircase welded, treads fitted & completed, Upper spine now fitted and welding of the risers and treadplates to be completed this week in mid December.
Oak frame sanding still to be completed, as there is a lot of it !

Good progress on the outside of the house in a pleasant and warmer September and October, all cladding and stonework is now fitted. We are fully covered in by the roof including the balcony area, paving slabs to be laid on pedestals on the balcony area.
Drains all piped and connected to main sewer run, land drains installed to keep the lawns from getting boggy.
Initial landscaping completed to level off the lawns and patios. Fruit trees purchased and put in large pots ready for moving on to final locations next spring.
First fix wiring and plumbing is near complete, just the entrance hall to be wired once the floor is concreted in and interior walls are erected.
Garage floor concrete laid in late October and garage now in use.
Power connected and temporary connections made for lighting and heating.
Water main is connected and just fitting service valves to all water outlets before we can test the plumbing pipe runs.
